The workshop and shipping area were combined into one, and a new shipping area with large refrigeration equipment was completed in 2017.
By mechanizing as much of the vegetable washing, packing, and shipping operations as possible, we are now able to ship fresh vegetables in a consistent manner.
In addition to the sorting line, a line for making dried vegetables such as dried daikon radish has also been installed, making it possible to produce value-added processed products.
Osaki Farm's Soil Preparation
We diagnose the soil once a year and apply fertilizer nutrients suitable for the crop to the field in a well-balanced manner.
Daikon radish prefers slightly acidic to neutral soil, but Japanese soil with heavy rainfall tends to become acidic because calcium, magnesium, and potassium in the soil are easily washed away.
We use a pH meter to measure acidity and adjust soil acidity to alkaline or neutral to ensure a stable supply of tasty crops and improve quality.
